Charles Voss, 87, Town of Centerville resident, died Tuesday evening at St. Nicholas Hospital, Sheboygan, where he had been a patient since Jan. 8. Funeral services will be at St. James Evangelical and Reformed Church, Spring Valley. The Rev. E. L. Hennig will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Voss was born August 4, 1871 in the town of Schleswig, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Voss. He married the former Emma Heckmann, April 3, 1899, and the couple farmed in the town of Centerville. Mrs. Voss died in 1947 and Charles continued to live with his son, Stanley, on the home farm.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Hilbert Freis of Centerville, two sons, Roy of Sheboygan and Stanley at home, brother Fred of Manitowoc; nine grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Three sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.
