Younger daughter and co-heiress of Sir Miles Stapleton and Katherine de la Pole. Granddaughter of Sir Brian Stapleton and Cecily Bardolf, Sit Thomas de la Pole and Anne Cheyne. Descendant of King Edward I.

Wife of Sir Christopher Harcourt, son of Sir Richard Harcourt and Edith Saint Clair. They were married before 1468 and had three sons and one daughter; Miles, Sir Simon, Richard and Elizabeth.

Sir Christopher died in or about 1477.

Jane married again to Sir John Huddlestone of Millom, Cumberland, the Sheriff of Gloucestershire who died 1512, and they had one son, John.

Jane left a will dated 18 April 1518 and proved 10 June 1519, requesting to be buried at Hailes Monastery before the image of the Blessed Lady of Pity.
