MRS KATHERINE KAISER WHO RESIDED IN COUNTY SINCE CHILDHOOD DIES.
Mrs Katherine Kaiser,96, one of the oldest residents in the community, who since eight years of age had resided in Fond du Lac County, died at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs William Andrew, 28 West McWilliams Street, after an extended illness.
Born Feb 9, 1842 in Albany NY, daughter of Florian and Cecelia Dreifuerst, she came to this state with her parents, settling on a a farm in the Town of Fond du Lac (actually Town of Marshfield). She was married in 1863 at Mt Calvary to Arnold Kaiser, who died 34 years ago. After their marriage the couple resided on a farm near Calvary.
Mrs Kaiser had made her home with Mrs Andrew for the last 24 years.
Surviving are three sons and six daughters, Hubert of St Cloud, Joseph of Wausau and Frank of Mt Calvary. Mrs Andrew and Margaret Kaiser of this city. Mrs Florence Donahue and Mrs Elizabeth Gourdier of Chicago, Mrs Theresa Rosenberg of Kenosha and Mrs Agnes Van Amensford of Lake Forest. Another daughter Mrs Christian Lisowe, died in April, 1937.
She also leaves 24 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs Kaiser was a member of the Altar Society of Mt Calvary.
Funeral services will be held at 8:45 a.m. Friday from the residence and at 9 a.m. from St Mary's church in this city and at 10 a.m. from Holy Cross church in Mt Calvary. Burial will be in Holy Cross church cemetery.
