GRIEF KILLED YOUNG MOTHER
On Saturday occurred the sad death of Mrs. Grace Dampier, wife of Edward Dampier of this city. Deceased was only 22 years of age and her untimely death was due to grief at the loss of her 4 year old daughter who was burned to death some time ago Mrs. Dampier was the daughter of S. Jeter, and had many friends in this city where her life was spent. The funeral was held at 2 o'clock this afternoon from the family residence and the interment at Oak Hill.

Mother Succumbs to Pneumonia after Child's Death
Mrs. Grace Dampier Passed Away Yesterday, Leaving Two-Year-Old Baby
A sad death occurred yesterday in the passing ot Mrs. Grace Dampier, wife of Ed Dampier, at the age of 22 years. Mrs. Dampier's little daughter, aged 4 years, died about ten months ago as a result of burns and the mother's grief over this accident brought about a decline, through pneumonia was the immediate cause of death.
She was the daughter of the late Sebe Jeter, and sister of Ava, Hettie and Hazel Jeter and W.D. Jeter of Toulomne.
Besides her husband deceased leaves one child, a baby two years of age. Mr. Dampier, who was for four years a motorman on the Santa Clara road, will have the sympathy of the community in his sore bereavement.
