Long Illness of Chas. Vick Relieved By Death.
Charles C. Vick, age 82 years, died at his home this Tuesday morning at about 9 o'clock. On account of ill health and loss of sight, Mr. Vick had been helpless for a number of years.
During this long period he had exhausted his resources and was compelled to accept charity. During these long, trying years his faihful wife has done everything possible to contribute to his comfort and support.
Mr. Vick came to Rensselaer a number of years ago and operated a fruit and candy store and also conducted a newspaper distribution agency. He later was quite succssful in the sale of optical goods, but was forced to give this up on account of failing eyesight.
The funeral will be held at the Methodist church tomorrow afternoon.
