Born October 19, 1922, in Johnsonville, Jack was the son of the late Albert Thomas Taylor and the late Ida Cox Taylor. He was Salutatorian of the Johnsonville High School class of '37 and worked as an insurance agent for Murray McLendon and Epps-McLendon. Jack was a member of Hemingway First United Methodist Church and was active in Sunday School and the church choir. He was also a member of the United Methodist Men and the Ebenezer Prayer Breakfast group, and a former member of the Lake City Lions Club.
Mr. Taylor was predeceased by his grandson, Benjamin Chinnes; sisters, Maude Taylor, Pauline Williamson, Myrtis Grier, and Mary Ella Taylor; and brothers, Rema Taylor, and David Taylor.
