Mary Ella Taylor, age 93, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 27, 2013. Born November 17, 1919, in Johnsonville, she was the daughter of the late Albert Thomas Taylor and the late Ida Cox Taylor.

Ms. Taylor was a homemaker and member of Vox United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir, and taught Sunday School. She was also a member of the UMW.

Survivors include her brother, Jack (Blona) Taylor of Hemingway; sisters-in-law, Marguerite Taylor and Mary Lynn Poston; nieces, Iris Benton, Nancy Gilman, Dava Gardner, Kaye Callicutt, Ginger Springs, and Joan Newell; nephews, Russell Williamson, Jerry Taylor, and Tommy Taylor; two special great-nephews, Kelly Springs and Kyle Springs; and a number of other great-nephews and great-nieces.

Ms. Taylor was predeceased by sisters, Maude Taylor, Pauline Williamson, and Myrtis Grier; brothers, Rema Taylor and David Taylor; and nephews, George Williamson and Sonny Williamson.

The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to Carolyn Collins, Shirley Cameron, Carolyn Cribb, Dell Moon, and Martha Cook for their compassionate care.

Funeral services, conducted by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at Vox United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Trinity United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 10:15AM at Vox United Methodist Church.
