Surviving are a sister, Katherine Krugel of Alton; three brothers, the Rev. Robert L. Heintz of Alton, William Heintz of Bethalto and John Heintz of Leigh High Acres, Fla.; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Preceding him in death were a sister, Mary Kremer, and two brothers, Victor and Frank Heintz.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Staten Funeral Home in Alton, with a prayer service at 4 p.m. A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Alton, with Father Robert L. Heintz as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Godfrey. Memorials may be made to the church, where he was a lifetime member, masses or Marquette Catholic High School of Alton, of which he was one of the first graduates in 1928.
