Funeral services for Victor J Heintz, who died Monday at 9:15 p.m. in Alton Memorial Hospital where he was a patient for one hour following an automobile accident, will be Thursday with a Requiem Mass at 10 a.m. in SS. Peter & Paul's Church. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery. The body is at Staten Chapel where visitation will be after 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Parish Rosary will be recited Wednesday at 8 p.m. and members of the 1940 graduating class of Marquette High School of which he was a member will assemble at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. to recite the Rosary.

Mr. Heintz, who died the day before his 46th birthday anniversary, was born Feb. 20,1922, in Alton. His parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Heintz. He attended SS. Peter & Paul's grade school, was graduated from Marquette High School, and attended Washington University. He spent three years in the Air Force and for 18 years worked as meat cutter in Alton stores. He had last been employed at Slack Furniture Co. Mr. Heintz was active in work of the Little League Baseball team which he had served as manager for one year. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul's Parish and Knights of Columbus.

His widow, the former Audrey Walsh, whom he married June 23, 1943, in Alton, and eight children, Mrs. Audrey Whalen Wood River, and Barbara, Marilyn,Victor Jr., William, Frances, Charles, and Teresa, survive him. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Mary Kramer, Walnut Creek, Calif., and Mrs Cathryn Krugel, Alton, and five brothers, Charles A., Frank B., John G., Alton; William E., Bethalto, and the Rev. Father Robert Heintz, Holy Ghost Church, Jerseyville.
