Parks Dunagan was born in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Hubert Oneal and Mary Jane Apple Dunagan.  He had three siblings, Marie, Louise and O'Neal.  At the age of 12 he lost a leg in a hunting accident. 

He met Phyllis Ann Lowers and the two were married April 26, 1954.  They had three children, Edward Parks born 1956; Steve Phillip born 1958 and Susan Joy born 1971.  

He worked for general contractor, Nello L. Teer, Inc. beginning around 1946, building roads.  He moved from Tennessee, Maryland, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and North Carolina.  When he moved the family to Villa Rica, Georgia in 1973, he left the company so he and his family could settle in Carroll County, Georgia.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis, children Ed, Steve and Joy, and a number of grandchildren.
