Powell, Margaret Marilynn, passed away peacefully August 27, 2011 in Poplar Ridge Pavilion at the age of 89.
Margaret was born June 22, 1922 in Trail BC where she resided her entire life. She married Art Powell in 1945 and together they raised their three children. Working for the C.M. & S. Company during the second WW and later at various offices, she then realized her dream of owning her own craft store in the 1960's. She loved sewing, knitting, crocheting and making satin roses for wedding bouquets. Margaret was a former member of the Catholic Women's League and the Trail Historical Society and for a number of years was involved in the Trail Skating Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Beth Robinson; sons George Powell; David (Christine) Powell; grandson J.J. (Heather) Williams; granddaughters Kelly (Matt) Tweedie; Jacquelyn Powell (Skyler); Andrea Powell; great grandsons: Jacob and Charlie Williams.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband Art in 1997, son-in-law, Larry Robinson her sister, Edith Weir and brother-in-law, Tom Weir.
