Florence N. Recuparo Dobrowski, 88, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday at James Square Health & Rehabilitation Center. A life resident of Syracuse, she retired from Sibley's. Florence was a devout Catholic and active contributor to the St. Jude Children's Foundation. An avid animal lover, she was also a life member of the Syracuse chapter of the SPCA. She was predeceased by her husband, Edmund "Ziggy" Dobrowski Sr. on January 25, 2013; and brothers, Frederick Recuparo and Vito Recuparo. Florence is survived by her son, Edmund (Colleen) Dobrowski Jr. of Rochester; daughter, Sandra (Anthony) Mastrobattisto of Liverpool; brothers, Louis, and Cosmo (Toni) Recuparo; beloved grandchildren, Andrew (Allison) Dobrowski, Jason Dobrowski, and Emily and Joseph Mastrobattisto; several in-laws, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday 9:15 a.m. at FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME and 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse.
