The History of Westmoreland County, by John Newton Boucher, mentions that both Thomas and his brother Robert were school teachers, and spells their surname as Davison. Following the death of his wife Mary, Thomas married Ann Morton, daughter of John and Elizabeth Morton, on 23 Mar 1854.
