Laurie P. Howard, 51, of Shippenville, passed away Monday morning, March 11, 2013, at her residence of natural causes.

Born July 16, 1961, in Grove City, she was the daughter of the late Ronald E. and Marion Isabel Jacobs Howard.

Laurie was Protestant by faith.

She was a graduate of Allegheny-Clarion Valley School at Foxburg.

Working as a nurse's aide, she was employed at Autumn Grove Care Center in Harrisville for twenty years, and at the time of her passing was employed at Golden LivingCenter in Shippenville.

Surviving are her companion, Robert E. King; and a son, Gage Tyler King, also at home.

She also is survived by four sisters, Ellen LuAnn (Butch) Mattern of Knox, Linda Marie (Mike) Francisco of Richland, N.C., Lisa Marion Howard of Clintonville and Brenda Lee (Greg) Finegold of Arizona; two brothers: Richard Wayne Howard of Butler and William Lawrence Howard of Emlenton; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Edward Howard.


Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S. Wash. St., Eau Claire.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Karen Parsh of Salem Lutheran Church officiating.

Interment will follow at Allegheny Cemetery, near Parker.
