Aaron Eugene "Bub" Pike, Jr., 57, of Shelbyville passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Major Hospital in Shelbyville.

He was born August 2, 1955 in Shelbyville. He was the son of Aaron Sr. and Patricia (Hood) Pike.

Aaron is survived by his brothers, James R. (wife, Mary A.) Chambers of Indianapolis and David A. (wife, Beverly S.) Pike of Shelbyville; nephew, David W. (wife, Lori) Pike of Geneva; and great-nephews, Gage and Joey Pike.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and foster mother, Micki L. Chambers.

Aaron was a lifelong Shelbyville resident and graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1973.

He retired as a press operator at IPC-Freudenburg NOK after 34 years and 11 months of service.

Aaron collected Wizard of Oz memorabilia and enjoyed watching old shows such as, Little House on the Prairie and The Waltons. Christmas was his favorite holiday.

He also leaves behind, his cat "J.R.", who was his companion. "J.R." will now reside with Jerry Beatty, a long-time friend and former co-worker.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2013 at the funeral home, with Rev. Robert Campbell officiating.

Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
