Conway G. “Tom” Ditlow, Sr., 94, entered into rest at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at ManorCare North. He was the husband of the late Beatrice L. (Leathery) Ditlow.

Born May 31, 1921 in Warrington Township,
Tom was a son of the late Clarence Ditlow and Goldie (Harten) Ditlow Moody.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific in The Philippines. Tom had 43 years of service for Borg-Warner in York where he worked as a machinist and inspector. Following retirement, he worked at QuakerRace Garage in Wellsville for 26 years.
He was a lifetime member of Dillsburg VFW Post #6771 and a member of NRA. He enjoyed hunting and going out to eat at
the Dillsburg VFW. In his younger years, he bowled for several local businessesat Weigelstown Bowling Alley.

Tom is survived by a daughter, Joan M. Butler and husband, Kenneth of Wellsville; a grandson, Duane G. Ditlow; a great grandson,Hunter Ditlow; a step-sister, Winifred Dawson; two step-brothers, Russell Moody,Jr. and Larry Moody, Sr.; special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Carl and Pat Leathery; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents,he was preceded in death by a son, Conway G. “Tommy” Ditlow, Jr.; a
granddaughter, Christine E. Ditlow; a grandson, Kevin Butler; a sister, Beatrice Shean; two step-sisters, Shirley Tarbert and Geraldine Lloyd; and two step-brothers, Raymond Moody and Barry Moody.

Relatives and friends are espectfully invited to attend Conway’s funeral at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 10,
2015 at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover. There will be viewings from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Red Run Cemetery, East Berlin, where veteran’s honors will be presented by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Officiating will
be his nephew, Dennis Heist.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kevin Butler Memorial Scholarship Fund, 115 Mount Airy Rd., Lewisberry, PA 17339 or a charity of your choice.
