Mrs. Will H. Ade Is Taken by Death
KENTLAND, Jan. 16.--Mrs. Katherine Ade, 80, widow of William H. Ade, died at the family home last evening at 5:30 o'clock. Native of Wheeling, N.Y., she was married Jan. 12, 1886, and is survived by three children: Mrs. Nellie Rathbun and Rolland Ade, both of Kentland, and Mrs. Ardis Kurfess, Hinsdale, Ill., also a sister, Mrs. Fannie VanMeter, near Washington, D.C., and two brothers, Charles Sheperd, of Minneapolis, Minn., and Roy Sheperd, Otto, Wyo.
Mrs. Ade's husband, brother of George Ade, famous humorist and playwright, died about 10 years ago. He was prominent in farming and civic life and was a state leader in the Bull Moose party more than 25 years ago. Mrs. Ade's son-in-law, James D. Rathbun, is George Ade's private secretary.
Friends my call at the home this evening. Funeral services will be held there Thursday afternoon at 2, Rev. V. B. Servies and Rev. J. E. McCloud officiating; interment Fair Lawn cemetery, the Hassett funeral home is charge.

Note: Corrections to Katie's obit. - Brother's surname is Shepard. Her husband William, predeceased her by 20 years and she was born in Wheeler, NY.
