Lowell ABRAHAM was the fourth child of five children born to Charles and Bertha Jane (née SCOTT) ABRAHAM; he was born at home on the family farm in rural Sarpy County (near Gretna), Nebraska. Lowell's three older siblings included two sisters, Marie Katherine (born July 28, 1902) and Verna (born November 24, 1904), and one infant brother who was born and lived a few days in November 1906. His younger sibling was a brother, Loren (born September 7, 1908). Of the five children, only Marie and Loren lived to maturity.

During the 1920's (ca 1926), the Charles and Bertha (née SCOTT) ABRAHAM Family moved from Nebraska to San Pedro, Los Angeles County, California. Prior to moving to California, Charles had been a self-employed Nebraska farmer raising crops and livestock primarily in Douglas County then Sarpy County.
