Alene Redlin, 88, Reston, VA, formerly of Hebron, IL, died Wednesday, Oct 15, 2003, at Manor Care Nursing Center, Fairfax, VA.
She was born Nov 26, 1914, in Alden, IL, the daughter of John and Lydia (Riordan) O'Halleran.
She married William W. Redlin Jr. Nov 27, 1941, in Richmond, IL. He died Nov 17, 1999.
She was a graduate of Hebron High School and was an elementary teacher in Alden and Hebron schools for more than 45 years. She was a member of the McHenry County Teachers Association, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Richmond, IL, for more than 50 years, and a member of Hebron Service Club and the Hebron Library. She became an avid golfer in her 60's.
She is survived by a son, William, Reston; two grandchildren, a great-granddaughter; and a sister, Marion Slavin, Hebron.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Josephine Mathison and Rita Babcock; and three brothers, John, Tom and Dan O'Holleran.
Visitation was at Ehorn Adams Funeral Home, Richmond. Funeral services were at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Richmond. Interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery, Richmond.
