Mr. and Mrs. FRANK GATES of Ardmore were here to attend the funeral of Mrs. Gates' cousin, CARL BURNS. CARL BURNS, brother of Mrs. W. I. BLANTON, died in Galveston last Monday night of paralysis. The remains arrived here this morning by train and a private funeral was held at the train.

C. T. BURNS
C. T. BURNS, age 47, resident of Fort Worth for 15 years, who retired as president of the Reynolds Mortgage Co. a week ago, died Monday at Galveston following a stroke of apoplexy. The body and relatives will pass through here Wednesday morning en route to Gainesville where funeral services will be held. For several months, Mr. Burns was in poor health. He resigned as president of the local concern to become associated with the W. L. MOODY Co. and American National Life Insurance Co. at Galveston in the hope of bettering his health. He was stricken with apoplexy while in Moody's office Thursday. The body will be accompanied to Gainesville by SIDNEY SAMUELS of Fort Worth, who was in Galveston with Mr. Burns several days before he was stricken with apoplexy. Mr. Burns is survived by his father, N. H. BURNS of Galveston; two sisters, Mrs. W. L. BLANTON of Gainesville and Mrs. E. E. LARKIN of Galveston; two brothers, ROBERT BURNS of Oklahoma City, and ARTHUR BURNS of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. From the Fort Worth Star Telegram.

BURNS and children, FRANK GATES of Ardmore, and Mr. and Mrs. ROLLINS ORMAND of Houston.
