Aaron moved with his Family, brother Nathan and Slaves, from Redding, Fairfield County, Connecticut to Pine Hill, N.Y. C-1796.

He was a New York Assembly member from Ulster County, New York 1816-1817 during Gov. Dewitt Clinton's term and voted on the Erie Canal Project.

He moved to Mt. Morris, NY. C-1817-18) with his family, brother Nathan and slaves. His wife, Elizabeth "Betsey" Bonesteel from Sodus, Wayne County, New York became ill with Typhus Fever and Died C-1821. Aaron died a few weeks later from the same disease, 22nd of August 1821.
