Funeral services for James Clarke, 75, lifelong resident of Southern Wisconsin, who died Tuesday afternoon in his home, 404 Caroline street, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Whaley-Overton funeral home. The Rev. W. H. Adams, United Brethren church, will officiate and burial will be in Fassett cemetery, Edgerton.

Mr. Clarke, whose death occurred after a brief illness, was born in Albion Prairie, July 9, 1854 and was married to Miss Mae Thompson Jan. 3, 1883. She died in 1894. He was again married Jan 16, 1901 to Miss Ella E. Wilcox, town of Harmony.

They lived on a farm in North Johnstown until 1918 when they moved to this city. He is survived by his widow; three children, Mrs. Peter Jamieson, Columbia, B. C., Jamie A. Clarke, Milton, and Grace L. Clarke, this city. A son, Gordon Clarke, died in 1918.
