Committed Forgery

Last week Wednesday the item which appeared in last weeks REGISTER with reference to the marriage of Lloyd Shetler and Miss Blanche Driesbach, reached us through the mail, and because, it was properly signed, apparently, we gave it space. Saturday we were asked many questions concerning the item, and Tuesday we called at the Shetler residence to find out the truth of the matter.

Mrs. John Shetler informs us that the couple in question are not married, and are not or have not been on speaking terms. When shown the manuscript she said she believed she knew who forged the name to the item and denied that any member of her household had anything to do with it This is a serious matter and if the writer of the item is found out he or she will be dealt with according to law.

The public is in possession of stories concerning the lady in the case, who is now working for her board at the Shetler residence, and we deeply regret that the young man, who is a steady and upright employee at the Gun locke Chair Co., has been caused any annoyance by the appearance of the item.
