Christian K. Nelson Dies in Longview, Washington

Christian K. Nelson passed away January 7, 1944, at the home of his son, Clarence, Longview, Washington, at the age of 82.

Mr. Nelson was born in Lafayette county, Wisconsin, November 30, 1862. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Knute Nelson. He came to the town of Alden sixty two years ago. In 1914 he moved to the village of Star Prairie, where he has since made his home. October 15, 1887 he was married to Madeline Christopherson who has preceded him in death.
Mr. Nelson is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Julius Olson (Emma), Cameron, Wisconsin, Mrs. David Carlson (Clara) Star Prairie, Mrs. Clifford Hoffland (Lea) Milwaukee, Wis., Mabel at home and Mrs. Roy Wittig (Marian) Star Prairie. Five sons, Alfred, Boardman; Elmer, Route 2, New Richmond, and Clarence of Longview, Washington. Also one brother, Nels K. Nelson, Spokane, Washington.
The funeral will take place Friday, Jan 14 at 2 P.M. at the Bethany Lutheran church, Star Prairie, Wisconsin.
Rev C. Hote will conduct the services. Burial in the Huntington cemetery. L.H. Beebe will be in charge of the arrangements. New Richmond Times January 12, 1944
