W. H. Bennett Is Victim Of Crash Last Saturday
Mr. Will Henry "Squire" Bennett, age 65 years, died Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. in a Lebanon hospital as a result of a fractured skull suffered last Saturday afternoon about 1:30 o'clock when his car left the road near Fredrickstown and was completely demolished. He did not regain consciousness. A companion, Mr. Otha Chelf, of Knifley, Ky., who was driving the car escaped injury. Mr. Bennett was born in Green County and was a member of the Cross Roads Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He married Miss England Chaney in 1890, deceased. In 1903 he married Miss Lou Milby who survives. Mr. Bennett is also survived by a daughter, Mrs. Edna Hedgespeth, of Taylor County, and a son, Herbert Bennett, of this city. Other survivors are four brothers, David, John, S. N. and J. W., and three sisters, Mrs. Bell Winegar, Mrs. Janie Drake, and Mrs. Lula Taylor. Funeral services will be at his home Thursday at 2:00 o'clock and interment will be at Brookside. The services will be conducted by Rev. J. W. Furkin, assisted by Rev. D. L. Druien.
