GREENSBORO - Ms. Ruth Fenell Benton , 96, passes away January 6, 2011 at her home.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday January 9, 2011 at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Vernon McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Ms. Benton was born in Rock Hill, SC on November 19, 1914 to James Newton and Annie Bolling Benton . She was a member of Glenwood Presbyterian Church, a life long caregiver, a loving sister, friend and devoted Aunt to her nieces and nephews. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her siblings; Woodrow Benton , Barbara Gray, Nell Fuller and Frances Cronin. Survivors include two sisters; Mary Benton and Becky McCorquodale, a brother; George Benton and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6p.m. until 8 p.m. at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Road, Greensboro, NC 27405
