Judge William Thomas Hendrickson, 62 years old, died early Saturday morning at his home in this city, death being due to high blood pressure. He had been in declining health for more than a year and for the past few weeks all hope for his recovery was abandoned. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Adair County on November 10, 1862. At the age of 21 he professed faith in religion and joined the Casey Creek Christian Church. In 1881 he was married to Miss Lorena B. Sanders and to this union four children were born, three daughters and one son, one daughter having preceded him in death. The surviving children, with their mother, are Mrs. C. D. Campbell, of Knifley; Mrs. Oscar Hartfield, of Greenville, Ind.; and Welby Hendrickson, of this city. Also surviving him are two brothers, F. C. Hendrickson, of Ballard, Mo., and J. I. Hendrickson, of Casey Creek; and three sisters, Mrs. H. B. Chelf, of Urich, Mo.; Mrs. J. W. Stayton, of Warron, Mo.; and Mrs. B. W. Belton, of Caldwell, Kansas. Judge Hendrickson moved to Taylor County nearly twenty years ago; five years of that time he was a farmer and merchant at Irene. He removed to Campbellsville in 1913, when he was elected to the office of County Judge and in which capacity he served the county well for two terms. He ws occupying this position at the time of his death and was a candidate to succeed himself. He was a good, useful citizen, possessing the traits of a kindly gentleman, a loving companion, and affectionate father. Not only will he be missed by his family, but by the community at large. Funeral services were held at the Christian church Sunday afternoon, conducted by the Revs. E. B. Kemm and H. S. Summers, this city, and Rev. Young, of Knifley. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery. The funeral was attended by a large concourse of friends.
