In 2002 while on tour with the Rockettes, Shorty found himself in Indianapolis, Indiana. Already the proud owner of Geisha, Shorty stopped at a local pet store to buy her some dog food. There he saw Mussolini and his siblings, puppies without a mom who had been dropped off at the pet store. Mussolini caught Shorty's attention for his patch over his eye. Shorty took the puppy with him, making Mussolini his second rescued Pitbull.
Mussolini retired to Shorty's vacation home in Mexico. He shared his home with his "sisters", Pitbull Geisha and Bebi. Mussolini loved going outside and letting everyone know it by conversing with the neighborhood dogs.
Mussolini will be missed especially by his best dog friend Bebi who joined the Rossi clan soon after Mussolini.
