WITTICH, Pauline Passed away peacefully on Monday, March 4, 2013 at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital. Pauline (Derbecker) Wittich age 84 years, of Elmira. Beloved wife of the late LaVerne Wittich (1993). Dear mother of Jennifer and Ross Gerber of Sturgis, Michigan, Beth and Neil Elford of Kingston, Michael and Karen Wittich of London, England, Kirby and Anne Wittich of Ottawa. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Seth and Sarah Gerber of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Benjamin and Jenna Gerber of Greensboro, North Carolina, Keira and Arden Stevens of Summerville, South Carolina, Luke and Erin Elford of Calgary, Alberta, Andrew Elford and fiancée Candice Kung of Calgary, Alberta, Joel Elford of Edmonton, Alberta, Leah Elford of Victoria, B.C., Nathan Wittich and Allyson Wittich both of Ottawa, and by her great-grandchildren Tristan and Maxwell Gerber and Quinn Stevens. Predeceased by her parents Clarence and Erma (Eby) Derbecker, her brothers Kenneth, Donald, Stewart and Glenn. Pauline was a lifelong resident of Woolwich Township. She grew up the daughter of the Township Assessor, Clarence Derbecker which helped forge lifelong friendships in the area. Pauline was known for her engaging smile and her quick sense of humour, keeping those who knew her on their toes. Pauline loved her family keeping the details of their lives close to her heart and was happy and proud to share them with others. We will take with us her strength of spirit and miss her ready smile. The family will receive their relatives and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira on Friday, March 8 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Pauline will be held at Trinity United Church, Elmira on Saturday, March 9th at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. J.D. Kellough officiating. A family interment took place at Calvary United Cemetery, St. Jacobs.
