Arizona Repulic, Phoenix, Tues., May 9, 1963, page 96. Mrs. Annie Hawkes, Active in LDS Church. MESA-Mrs. Annie S. Martineau Hawkes, died in Phoenix Tuesday. A native of Logan, Utah, she lived in Phoenix the past 12 years. She came to Arizona as a girl with her parents to colonize various town and settlements in eastern and southern Arizona and in Mexico. Much of her early life was spent in Mexico. She was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was active in church work. Funeral services we be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Meldrum Morturay, 52 N. Macdonald. Bishop LaMar Chapman will officiate. Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Park.
