Dorothy was born in Crestline on September 16, 1928 to the late Theodore and Ida (Lowe) Feick. She married Donald M. Swisher on June, 29, 1947 and he survives her.
Dorothy was a 1946 graduate of Whetstone High School. She was the Primary Sunday School Superintendent for many years at the Whetstone United Church of Christ. She was a member since 1971 of First United Church of Christ, Galion. She was the first woman school bus driver for Galion City Schools where she worked from 1966 until her retirement in 1993. She was very proud of being a school bus driver and loved children.
She is survived by two daughters Linda J. & Tom Cahill of Galion and Debra S. & Larry Zellner of Galion; a grandson and three granddaughters: Nathaniel R. Cahill, Northville, MI; Andrea M. & Jack Cramer, Galion; Melissa A. & Chris Stiffler, Powell; and Jessica L. Smith, Mt. Vernon; five great-grandchildren: Paul E., Andi N.; Eli R., and Celia K Cramer, and Mia C. Stiffler.
She was preceded in death by her sister Evelyn L. Feick, her brother Carl J. Feick; her infant brother Chester and infant grandson Curtis A. Cahill.
Friends may call Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Galion. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, March 9 at Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Galion, with Rev. Katherine Beckett officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Galion.
