Phyllis was born July 13, 1933, in Mulberry, Arkansas, but spent most of her life in Shawnee, moving here in 1961. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Shawnee and a former member of the Plain Ol' A's Model A Ford Club. She retired from DuVall's Specialty Shoppes after almost 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James (Jim). She is survived by her son, David Rhodes; 3 grandsons, Dustin (Shelly) Rhodes, Jacob (Linda) Rhodes, and Lucas (Michelle) Rhodes; 5 great grandchildren, Aubri, Austin (Rocky), Kira, Ella, Rhodes and Skila Boyles.
Visitation and Funeral Service
Visitation will be at the Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee, Kansas on March 6, 2013 from 12:00pm to 1:30pm. The funeral will follow the visitation at 1:30pm. Burial will be at Shawnee Cemetery on Quivira Road.
