Bernard David Babb, 67, a native of Colfax, Wash., died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born to the Emmanuel and Laura Babb pioneer family in 1912.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and worked in maintenance for the Union Pacific Railroad for 39 years.

He was a charter member of the Colfax Eagles Lodge and a member of the Railroad Maintenance Workers Union
