Graveside services for Mrs. Odell Douglas, 76, of New Llano were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, in the Mt. Herman Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Franklinton with the Rev. Bill Lily officiating. Services were under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville. Mrs. Douglas died Thursday, Oct. 10, in her residence in New Llano. She was a native of Mount Hermon and was a retired register nurse, having worked at Fort Polk and Byrd hospitals. She was the former owner of Douglas Goodwill Store and manager of the Salvation Army. She was a nurse in the U.S. Army Nurse Corp during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include her husband, Fred Douglas of New Llano; one son, Eddie "Fast" Douglas of New Llano; one daughter, Carolyn Wade of Lumberton, Texas, and one grandchild.
