John Wayne Slone, 56, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 7 PM in his Warsaw, Indiana home.

John was born March 30, 1956 in Warsaw to Orville and Mary Elizabeth (Osborne) Slone. He was a lifetime Warsaw resident and was employed by Ameri-Kan and attended God's Highway to Heaven Church, both Warsaw.

Survivors include 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Rita and James Mooney and Elizabeth and Justin Sprouse, all of Lorain, Ohio; 4 grandchildren: Kenneth, Dharma, Tyler and Caitlyn; 3 sisters and 2 brothers-in-law: Lydia and Lue Lichlyter of Wakeman, Ohio; Justine Megething of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; and Sharon and Larry Kocourek of Greenville, South Carolina; 4 brothers and a sister-in-law: Daniel Slone, Warsaw; Ronald and Mary Slone of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Mark Slone, and Orville Slone of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Mary Elizabeth Slone and 2 brothers: Harry Slone and Bob Slone.

Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing Wednesday, March 6th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A service celebrating the life of John Wayne Slone will take place Thursday, March 7th beginning at 10 AM in the funeral home and will be officiated by Pastor Bob Brown of God's Highway to Heaven Church. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, Indiana.

The family has asked that gifts in John's memory be given to: God's Highway to Heaven, 555 W. Weber Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580 or Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County, PO Box 1906 Warsaw, Indiana 46581-1906.
