C. C. Weatherman

C. C. Weatherman was born January 27, 1852 and died March 21, 1930 at the age of 78 years.
The deceased made a profession of faith in Christ 43 years ago and has been a member of the Baptist church for about 20 years. He was married to Barbara Edwards in March 1871. She preceded him to that Great Beyond 27 years ago. To this union was born three sons and five daughters, four of these, one son and three daughters died before their father. Two sons and two daughters remain to mourn his loss; J. S. Weatherman of Henryetta, Oklahoma, W.J. of Springfield, Mrs. Eva Palmer of Walnut Shade and Mrs. Rhoda Teter of Kansas City, Kansas. He is also survived by two brothers, Grant Weatherman of Branson and B. S. Weatherman of Walnut Shade, and one sister, Mrs. Lucinda Estep of Ozark, Missouri. B. S. Weatherman and Mrs. Eva Palmer were present. during his last illness.
He was buried in the Walnut Shade cemetery. Song and prayer service was held at the home by Rev. Rufus Cummings, Sunday, March 23. Rev. Albert Gray of Chestnut Ridge officiated at the cemetery. A large number of relatives and friends gathered to pay a last tribute of respect of the departed. Among those attending from Forsyth were Mr. and Mrs. Blunk, W. R. Adams, and Mr. and Mrs. Alva Hull. So passes another pioneer along with Thomas VanZandt, Cal Parrish and James Weatherman, men who have made history for Taney county.
