Anton Poklinkoski Sr., 88, of 1213 S. 17th St, Manitowoc, died Wednesday
at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and
10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Harold Berryman
will officiate with burial in St. Casimir Cemetery, Northeim.
Mr. Poklinkoski was born Aug. 10 , 1887, in Poland, son of the late Joseph
and Mary Musial Poklinkoski. He came to the United States with his family
at the age two. He married Rose Pokorske Sept. 14, 1914, at St. Casimir
Catholic Church, Northeim.
He was employed at Wisconsin Maltin Co., Manitowoc, for many years until
his retirement. He was a 45-year member of Fraternal Order of Eagles 706
of Manitowoc and a charter member of the Malsters Union.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Matt and Anton Jr., of Rt. 1,
Manitowoc, and Edward and Clarence, of Manitowoc; two daughters, Mrs. Anna
Zboralski, of Rt. 3, Manitowoc, and Mrs. Alvina Zelinski, of Rt. 1, Newton;
12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Four brothers and five sisters
preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, where a
wake memorial prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m.
