He was the husband of Madeline (Almedia) Calcagno.
He was born in Newark, N.J., son of Lucie (Luck) Hasselvander and stepson of Adam Hasselvander, both of Alexandria, Va., and had lived in the Fall River area for the last 17 years.
Mr. Calcagno worked as a sheet metal worker for several local companies and was a member of the sheet metal workers union.
He was also a member of the Liberal Club and the Eagles and was a charter member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church in Alexandria, Va.
In addition to his wife and parents, survivors include cousins, aunts and uncles.
