ARKADELPHIA-- Andrew Burdett, 88, of Detroit, died October 14, 1997, at Baptist Regional Medical Center here.
Born January 27, 1917, at Sardis, Mississippi, he was a son of the late Dan and Dora Wells Burdett.
He received his early education in the public schools of Sardis.
After relocating in Detroit, he became a member of the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Dayton Construction and Maintenance Company.
Survivors include two brothers, Amos Burdett of Sardis and Moses Burdett of Springfield, Missouri.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at McKivor Missionary Baptist Church at Sardis with the Rev. Earnest Blair officiating. Burial will be in McKivor Baptist Church Cemetery by P.K. Miller Mortuary of Pine Bluff.
