Joseph D. Andreuzzi, 75, of St. Johns, passed away Monday afternoon at Hospice Community Care Inpatient Unit, Wilkes-Barre, following a short illness.

Born in Hazleton, August 6, 1937, he was the son of the late Daniel and Anna (Pahida) Andreuzzi, and spent the past year in St. Johns after moving from Deltona, FL, where he had lived for 15 years. Before residing in Florida he had lived on Butler Drive in Drums for many years.

Joseph was employed as a truck driver for the former General Foam, Valmont Industrial Park and had also worked as a security guard during his time in Florida. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War, where he served with the Military Police, and was a member of the American Legion and VFW. He was an avid sports fan and in his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are two children, Daniel Andreuzzi and his wife April, Drums; and Dean Andreuzzi, San Diego, CA; five grandchildren, Lauren Segilia; Dylan, Austin, Caitlyn, and Kelly Andreuzzi; two brothers Daniel, Hazleton; and Richard and his wife Andrea, Tresckow; a sister Helene Hvizda and her husband Billy, Hazleton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Thursday at 11 am with a memorial service from Harman Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums. The Rev. Jack Lambert will officiate the services. Interment will follow in Mt. Laurel Memorial Park, Hazleton. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday morning from 10 am until the time of service.
