ORD — George Fryzek, 79 of Ord died Friday, January 14, 2005 at the Valley County Hospital in Ord.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Ord Memorial Chapel. The Reverend Mike Chase will officiate. Burial will be at National Bohemian Cemetery, west of Ord.

Visitation will be on Sunday, 6-8 p.m. at the Ord Memorial Chapel.

George was born September 13, 1925 west of Ord to Frank and Bessie (Fier) Fryzek.

He is survived by his wife, Martha of Ord; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Linda Fryzek of Burwell; and one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Don Andrews, of North Bend,;

Other survivors include: seven grandchildren, , Nichole Simpson and her husband Phillip, Christian Fryzek and his wife Heather, Aaron Fryzek, Amanda Fryzek, Nathan Fryzek, Benjamin Andrews, and Adam Andrews; two great-grandchildren, Logan and Kelsey Simspson; one sister-in-law, Bess Fryzek of Greeley, CO.

He was raised on the family farm and received his education at rural country schools and at Ord Public Schools.

On April 5, 1951 he married Martha Kvetensky at Ord. The couple made their home in Ord, where they lived their entire married lives. George and Martha celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in 2001.

George was an interior decorator. He and his father and brother operated "Fryzek Brothers Painting and Decorating".

George was a member of the ZCBJ #14 Lodge. He enjoyed his grandchildren, hunting, open wheel races, fishing, sports and gardening, especially growing radishes.

He is survived by his wife, Martha of Ord; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Linda Fryzek of Burwell; one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Don Andrews, of North Bend, NE; 7 grandchildren, , Nichole Simpson and her husband Phillip, Christian Fryzek and his wife Heather, Aaron Fryzek, Amanda Fryzek, Nathan Fryzek, Benjamin Andrews, and Adam Andrews; 2 great-grandchildren, Logan and Kelsey Simspson; one sister-in-law, Bess Fryzek of Greeley, CO.He is preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister; one sister, Bess Burson and four brothers, Frank, Joe, Vencel and Jerry.

Memorials are suggested to the Field of Dreams in Burwell or the Ord Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Unit.
