Doris G. Irwin, 89, formerly of Derry, died Tuesday, Oct. 26,1999, at the Bethlen Home in Ligonier. Born Nov. 1, 1909, in Blairsville, she was the daughter of Harry A. and
Lela Kunkle Helman. She is survived by two sons, Jack V
Irwin, of Portage, and Raymond J. Irwin, of Port Allegheny, Pa.; five daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Eileen) Joe, New Derry; Mrs. John (Nancy) Kuncher, of Latrobe; Mrs. Barbara
Stromock, Derry; Mrs. Carol Joyce Allison, Florida, and Mrs. Robert (Lee) McGuire, Ohio; 23 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchiidren
and two sisters, Mrs. Mae Rager, Graceton, and Mrs. Roy
(Jeanne) Shearer, of New York. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry F. Irwin who died in 1975; two brothers, Bill and Ed Helman, and three sisters:
Audrey Huey, Katherine Miller and Pat Helman. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Michael J. Quinlisk Funeral Home in Derry where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Dr. Donn Chapman will officiate and interment will be in the
Coles Cemetery in Derry.
