Kathryn was a graduate of Desoto County High School and married H. T. Simmons after he was discharged from service in the second world war. They lived in Clewiston, FL, for many years, and she remained there after his premature death. She moved back to Arcadia after her retirement. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Arcadia.
She is survived by daughter Dianne (Bruce) Taylor, granddaughter Loretta Taylor, and great grandson Timmy of Moore Haven, sisters Helen Ziegler of Rincon, GA, and Odelle Coker of Port Charlotte, nephew Dick Smith of Lake Placid, and good friend and care giver Carol Tyson of Arcadia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Anne Barney and Maxine Harward, and cousin Gertrude Griffin. No services are planed at this time.
