Eula Maxine Harward, 85, Arcadia, died Oct. 18, 2004. She was born Dec. 22, 1918, in Frostproof and moved to DeSoto County as a small child. She had been a bookkeeper for International Harvester Co. before retiring. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Arcadia. Survivors include a son, Richard Smith of North Fort Myers; sisters Ann Barney and Kathryn Simmons, both of Arcadia, Helen Zeigler of Rincon, Ga., and Odelle Coker of Port Charlotte; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home in Arcadia is in charge.
