Larry Lark Metcalf, 58, of 315 Aiken Road, Homestead
Apartment C-1, Asheville, N.C. died unexpectedly Monday April 19, 2004, at his home.
A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Weaverville. He was a son of the late Lark Jahue and Nina Lanette Abernathy Metcalf.
He was survived by his wife, Norma Dean Dockery Metcalf of the home; sisters, Ruby Arrington of Enka, Bonnie Reece of Arden, Robbie Banks and Carolyn Meese, both of Candler; and brothers, Charles Metcalf of Rockford, Ill., Paul Metcalf of Murphy, Robert Metcalf of Waynesville, Edward Metcalf of
Candler and the Rev. Benny Metcalf of Lancaster, S.C.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at the First Presbyterian Church of Weaverville with the Rev. Bruce Lack officiating. Burial was in Mount Pisgah Baptist Church cemetery. Anders-Rice Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
