MORRELL CO. EMPLOYEE 35 YEARS DIES
Henry C. (Jake) Moss, 69, lifetime resident of Ottumwa, died suddenly at his home, 619 Center Avenue, today at 10 a.m. He was taken ill Sunday night.
Mr. Moss was born in Ottumwa March 20, 1869, the son of James Walker and Lydia Moss. He had been employed by John Morrell & Co., for the last 35 years.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Emma Vass Moss; two daughters, Mrs. Louise Van Note and Mrs. Arlene Zaubitzer of Chicago; two stepdaughters, Frances Vass of Ottumwa and Mrs. Agnes Stephenson of Des Moines, and a stepson Lester Vass of Ames.
The body is at the Johnson Funeral Chapel.
