Mrs. John Mrotek, 76, a resident of the town of Newton, died Sunday
morning at 8 o'clock after an illness of only three days.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete but it is expected that services
will be held Wednesday at St. Casimir's church. The body is at the
Leschke funeral home and may be viewed there this evening and until
the funeral.
Mrs. Morotek, nee Anna Tomchek, was born in Newton April 26, 1864.
She was married to Mr. Mrotek in 1881. He died Jan. 19 of this year.
The survivors are six daughters, Mrs. Patrick Kalas, Mrs. William
Stetcher, Mrs. Clarence Fox and Miss Anna Mrotek of Chicago, Mrs.
John Dropik of St. Paul and Mrs. John Pracki of Manitowoc; five sons,
Peter of Manitowoc, John of St. Paul, Paul of Minneapolis, Alex of
Chicago and Gordon at home; two brothers, Walter Tomchek of Newton
and Albert Tomchek of Manitowoc; one sister, Mrs. John Rohde of
Manitowoc; 21 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Pracki, who were attending high mass at St. Boniface
Sunday morning at 9 o'clock, were called out of church and told of
the death of Mrs. Pracki's mother.
