ALBERT C. TOMCHECK
(1872 - 1944)

Albert C. Tomchek, 72, of 1109 South 16th street, former alderman and retired carpenter contractor, died early today. He has been in failing health for several months.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. from the Leschke funeral home and at nine o'clock from the St. Boniface church. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.

Mr. Tomchek was born in Newton and spent his early life there. In 1899 he married Miss Christine Kuffel of Newton. They moved to this city shortly afterwards and Mr. Tomchek engaged in carpenter contracting work. He served two terms in the city council as a Seventh ward alderman. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Survivors are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Peter Julian and Mrs. Chester Mayfeldt, both of Chicago; son, Gordon, of Milwaukee; brother, Walter of Newton; sister, Mrs. John Rohde, of this city, and four grandchildren.

The body may be viewed at the funeral home from Tuesday noon until the hour of services.
