March 31, 1937 ~ December 23, 2010 (age 73) Mary Denny, age 73 of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital.
Mary entered this life on March 31, 1937 in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky the daughter of Ulyssis and Velma Renner Kirby, both of whom preceded her in death. Mary was united in marriage to James Denny, and to their union came 2 wonderful children to richly bless their home. She retired from Rockcastle Manufacturing in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, where she worked as a press operator. Mary will be remembered for her love of crocheting, quilting and gardening.
Mary will be lovingly remembered by: 1-daughter: Retha Bussell and her husband Dearl of Brodhead, Kentucky; 2-brothers: Kenneth Kirby and his wife Louise of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky and Arvel Kirby and his wife Patricia, of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky; 2-sisters: Lois Bussell and her husband Ted of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky and Lena Bustle and her husband Robert of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky; 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a host of friends and neighbors.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Ulyssis and Velma Renner Kirby; 1-son; Gary Lee Denny; and 3-sisters: Sadie Denny, and infants, Retha and Edith Kirby.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Denny will be conducted on Monday, December 27, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Adam Fowler, Sister Darlisa Holder and Bro. Paul Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Kirby Family Cemetery.
