W. Howard Brown, 59, died May 31 at St. Agnes Hospital after an illness of 18 years. A native of Dayton, Mr. Brown had lived in Harwood Park for 20 years. He had been employed as a press operator for Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corporation. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). A VFW service was held the evening of June 3 and the Rev. Russell B. McClatchey of Harwood Methodist Church conducted services June 4 from the Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home in Elkridge. Mr. Brown was interred at Meadowridge Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife, Pauline V. Brown; two sisters, Millie I. Bliffen of Millersville and Eleanor M. Driscoll of Essex; and three brothers, Joseph P. of Catonsville, John F. of Harpers Ferry, W.Va. and Harry Brown of Florida.
